LAN Yi-Tzu is a screenwriter and director known for her nuanced portrayal of women’s self-discovery and transformation in times of adversity. Her debut short film, Fireworks, was selected for the Busan International Short Film Festival. In 2017, her Kaohsiung Shorts-funded film, Blossom, premiered at the Kaohsiung Film Festival. Her latest short film, The Horse, premiered at the 2023 Golden Horse Film Festival and was nominated at Women Make Waves Film Festival, the Golden Harvest Awards, the New York Asian Film Festival, and the Osaka Asian Film Festival, winning Best Narrative Short at the 2024 Taiwan Film Festival in Australia.
