ZHANG Bu-yi was born in 1993 in Yilan, Taiwan, and received his bachelor’s degree in Communication from National Chengchi University. His work The Absence, set in his hometown, won a Golden Harvest Award in the student slate. Staged again in his birthplace, his new film Boys on the Bridge portrays the restlessness of land and youth and was nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the 60th Golden Horse Awards.
