故事從與孫子相依為命的阿嬤和隔壁的修鞋匠阿賢師開始講起，一天，阿嬤說：「不知道為什麼要活那麼老？」，隔天，阿嬤真的不見了。小孫子和阿賢師猜想阿嬤的可能去處，駕著車四處探查，兩人上山下海四處探尋，究竟阿嬤去了哪裡？

The story begins with a grandma who is dependent on her grandson and a cobbler next door, Mr. Xian. One day, Grandma said, ““Why do people live so long?”” and the next day, Grandma disappeared. The grandson and Mr. Xian is frightened and starts looking for her. The two drove their car around to find out where Grandma had gone. It turns out that Grandma joins a religious procession to express her gratitude.
